Three Ways to Vape, Explained
Single-use vapes have been banned from sale in the UK since 1 June 2025. Each type below is rechargeable. Here is how each one works and what you buy again.
Pre-Filled Pod Kit
The closest thing to a disposable: no filling and no settings. You charge the device and click in a sealed pod of ready-made liquid. When the pod runs out, you swap it for a new one.

Refillable Pod Kit
You fill the pod yourself from a 10ml bottle, so you can use e-liquid from any brand. The coil sits inside the pod or slots into it, and you replace it when the flavour fades.

Advanced Kit

Send back unopened items within 28 days. If something arrives damaged, faulty or wrong, we refund it even if opened and pay the postage. Refunds are processed within 3 working days of the item reaching us.

The New Vape Duty, in Plain English
Since 1 October 2026, every vaping liquid sold in the UK carries Vaping Products Duty of £2.20 per 10ml, with or without nicotine. VAT is charged on the duty as well.

When Will My Order Arrive?
Order by 7pm Monday to Friday, 12:30 on Saturday or 4pm on Sunday and we dispatch the same day (bank holidays aside). VAPExpress orders travel by Royal Mail Tracked 24 or DHL Express. Over 95% of parcels arrive the next day, but next-day delivery is not guaranteed. Allow an extra day for Scotland and remote areas.
Is Delivery Free?
Yes, on UK orders over £20 when every item in your basket carries the VAPExpress tick, which almost every product does. Orders under £20 go by Royal Mail Tracked 24 at the standard delivery charge. Guaranteed and express services are offered at checkout.
How Do You Check My Age?
UK law says we can only sell nicotine and vaping products to people aged 18 or over. When you check out, Experian runs a soft data check against records such as the electoral register. No financial information is shared with us and the check is free. If it is inconclusive, we text you a link to upload ID and a selfie. Orders that cannot be verified are cancelled and refunded after 72 hours.
Can I Still Buy Disposable Vapes?
No. Single-use vapes have been banned from sale in the UK since 1 June 2025. A pre-filled pod kit works in a similar way: you recharge the device and replace the pod. Many of the same brands are also available as pre-filled pods and as 10ml nic salts.
How Does the New Vape Duty Affect Prices?
Since 1 October 2026, Vaping Products Duty adds £2.20 for every 10ml of vaping liquid, with or without nicotine, and VAT is charged on the duty. Devices, coils and empty pods are not affected. Shops can sell unstamped stock made before 1 October 2026 until 31 March 2027, so prices are changing gradually as duty-paid stock arrives.
Which Nicotine Strengths Can I Buy?
Nic salts come in 5, 10 and 20mg/ml, and 20mg/ml is the UK maximum. Freebase e-liquids come in 3 to 18mg/ml. Shortfills contain no nicotine: one 10ml 18mg/ml nic shot in a 50ml shortfill gives about 3mg/ml. Our team can talk you through it on live chat.
Can I Return Something?
Yes. Unopened items in their original packaging can come back within 28 days (sale items only if faulty). If something arrives damaged, faulty or wrong, we refund it even if it has been opened and we cover the return postage. Email helpers@vape.co.uk with RETURN and your order number in the subject, or ask on live chat. Refunds are processed within 3 working days of the item reaching us.
Do You Deliver Outside the UK?
We ship to many countries. Free delivery over £20 applies to UK addresses only, so ask our team on live chat or by email whether we ship to you.
How Do I Recycle Old Vapes?
Send 10 or more used vapes to VAPE.CO.UK, 59 Narborough Road, Cosby, Leicestershire LE9 1TB, with your name and order number, and we will refund your postage. Vapes contain batteries, so they should never go in the household bin.
