Why Businesses Switch to Us
IT Should Never Be the Talking Point.
If your IT only comes up when it lets you down, you’re with the wrong partner. These are the complaints we hear most from businesses moving to Uptech, and what changes when they do.
Book a Free CallWhat we hear: “We wait days for anyone to get back to us.”
With Uptech: You’ll know we’ve got it, you’ll hear how it’s going, and we’ll do what we say when we say. Most fixes happen remotely, and we come to site when it’s needed.
What we hear: “Every question seems to come with a bill.”
With Uptech: Support is one monthly price, so nobody in your team thinks twice about picking up the phone.
What we hear: “They talk to us in a foreign language.”
With Uptech: Plain English, every time. No question is too small, and nobody is ever made to feel silly for asking.
What we hear: “Sorry, that’s not covered.”
With Uptech: If it has a plug or a password, it’s our problem. We’ll even deal with your software suppliers and the big tech companies for you.
What we hear: “We’ve got antivirus. That’s enough, isn’t it?”
With Uptech: Protection in layers, watched day and night, so one wrong click doesn’t turn into a lost week.

Shielding Your IT
Six Layers Between Your Business and the Next Attack.
Antivirus alone won’t stop a convincing fake invoice or a stolen password. We build protection in layers, so if one is beaten the next one holds, and we watch all of it around the clock. Choose a layer to see what’s in it.

Your business, in the middle
Around Every Layer
Eyes on Everything, Day and Night
Every server, desktop and laptop is monitored around the clock through a Network Operations Centre, and ransomware protection is watched by a Security Operations Centre. Most problems are spotted, and often fixed, before anyone in your office notices.
What it stopsSmall faults turning into a Monday-morning disaster.
Layer 1 of 6
A Human Firewall
Short, practical online training so your team can spot a scam email, a fake invoice or a dodgy link, with tips that stick because they are about real attacks, not jargon.
What it stopsThe one click that lets an attacker in.
Layer 2 of 6
Email You Can Trust
Spam, phishing and malicious attachments filtered out before they land, every mailbox backed up to the cloud, and a consistent signature with the right disclaimers on every email your team sends.
What it stopsFake invoices, malware attachments and lost emails.
Layer 3 of 6
The Keys, Kept Safe
Multi-factor sign-in on every account, a proper business password manager, leavers removed when they leave, and alerts if your company email addresses and passwords turn up in a breach.
What it stopsStolen or guessed passwords opening the door.
Layer 4 of 6
Every Desk Patched and Protected
Automatic security updates on every laptop, desktop and server, anti-ransomware protection, and encrypted drives, so a lost laptop is just a lost laptop.
What it stopsOld weaknesses, ransomware and data walking out of the door.
Layer 5 of 6
A Connection You Can Rely On
Business-grade firewalls and Wi-Fi with internet speed and fault monitoring, plus broadband, leased lines and VoIP through our sister company Premier.
What it stopsSlow, dropped and exposed connections.
Layer 6 of 6
A Way Back, Whatever Happens
Backups taken automatically and stored safely away from your office, with email backed up to the cloud, so if the worst happens we can bring your files, mailboxes and systems back.
What it stopsA bad day becoming a permanent loss.
Want a Certificate That Proves It?
Cyber Essentials is the government-backed standard for basic cyber security. Certified organisations are 92% less likely to make a cyber insurance claim (NCSC), government and NHS contracts that handle personal data require it, and since 27 April 2026 a cloud service without multi-factor sign-in switched on, where it’s offered, is an automatic fail. We guide clients through both levels, from the free risk check to the audit.

That’s before overtime to catch up, any lost data, or a customer who quietly goes elsewhere.
Talk to Us About Keeping It at ZeroWhat Our Clients Say
Clients Stay for Years. Here’s Why.
“Uptech’s service has always been outstanding, coming to site when required and making sure any downtime is kept to a minimum.”
“Uptech has supported Russen and Turner for over ten years with all our IT needs. … No issue is too small and we are never felt to be stupid for asking for help as they appreciate that IT is not our area of expertise.”
“It was a bigger investment than we had previously made, but the information and help provided has already been a far better return on the investment.”
“We have been able to prove that we take all of the correct steps to follow the government guidelines set out in Cyber Essentials and passed an external audit with flying colours. We’re delighted to have been able to move forward with the Government contracts we have been tendering for.”

On the Horizon
Three Things Worth Getting Ahead Of.
- Happening Now
Your Team Is Already Using AI
71% of UK employees have used unapproved AI tools at work, and 51% still do every week. That often means client details pasted into free tools. We help you choose approved tools, set sensible rules and roll out Microsoft Copilot inside the security you already have.
Take the AI Readiness Test - Ended 13 Oct 2026
Windows 10 Has Run Out of Road
Free security updates stopped in October 2025, and the first year of paid extended updates ended on 13 October 2026, when Office 2021 lost support too. A Windows 10 PC without extended updates fails Cyber Essentials. We’ll tell you what to upgrade, what to replace and what it costs.
Ask for a Free Windows Check - Deadline 31 Jan 2027
The Old Phone Lines Are Switching Off
The copper phone network closes on 31 January 2027, and around 350,000 business premises were still on it in September. Alarms, card machines, door entry, lift phones and fax lines all need checking. Our sister company Premier moves you to internet phones without the disruption.

Mostly businesses with 5 to 200 staff, including teams spread across several sites or working from home.

No. Most problems can be fixed remotely, which is usually quickest, and our engineers come to site when it’s needed.

Our team is available 8:30am to 5pm, Monday to Friday, and our monitoring watches your systems 24 hours a day, every day of the year.
