Licensed and Accountable

The Checks Behind Every Placement

If you supply food, farming or retail, your customers may well ask who provides your labour. Tennial holds the licence and memberships that answer that question.

A Licensed Labour Provider, Licence TENN0002

Supplying workers into agriculture, horticulture, shellfish gathering or food processing and packaging needs a gangmaster's licence, and it is an offence to supply or use unlicensed labour in those sectors. Tennial's licence covers agriculture, horticulture and food processing and packaging. Licensing passed from the GLAA to the new Fair Work Agency in April 2026, and Tennial applies the same standards across the whole business. See the licence on the public register.

Association of Labour Providers

Member for 2026 of the trade body for labour providers that promotes responsible recruitment across the food and consumer goods supply chain.

Stronger Together

A 2026 Business Partner (Advanced) of the programme that helps businesses find and tackle modern slavery and labour exploitation.

Sedex Member

On Sedex, the platform that retailers and manufacturers use to share and check ethical trade information across their supply chain.

Guild of Quality Employment Agencies

A member of the Guild of Quality Employment Agencies.

Disability Confident Employer

A level 2 Disability Confident Employer under the government scheme for recruiting and keeping disabled people and people with health conditions.

Suffolk Chamber of Commerce

A member of the county's business network, working alongside the employers we recruit for.

About Tennial

Dennis Tennial’s Name Is on the Door

Tennial is not a made-up brand. It is the surname of Dennis Tennial, who has recruited in Suffolk since 1993 and founded Tennial Personnel in January 2015.

At his previous Ipswich agency, Dennis took the operation from one client and five temporary workers to more than 20 clients and 400 people at work every day. Tennial runs on the service he believes in: direct, instant and personal. Honest answers, quick action and people who pick up the phone.

Dennis is Managing Director and a Fellow of the Institute of Recruitment Professionals (FIRP), with REC qualifications in recruitment practice and management and ALP training on the Agency Workers Regulations. The team has backed St Elizabeth Hospice and local grassroots football along the way.

Questions

Straight Answers

The questions people ask us most. Anything else, call 01473 565 292.

How quickly can you supply temporary staff?

It depends on the role, the shift pattern and how many people you need. Many vacancies can be filled from people already registered with us, and we are on call 24/7 for late, early and weekend shifts. Call 01473 565 292 as early as you can and we will tell you honestly what is realistic.

How does temp to perm work?

The worker starts with you through Tennial on a temporary basis. After a set trial, usually 12 working weeks, you can offer a permanent contract to the people you want to keep. We agree the terms with you before anyone starts.

What if you cannot fill a permanent role?

You don't pay a penny. We advertise permanent roles free of charge and there is no fee unless we fill your role successfully. Repeat customers also qualify for our rebate and rewards scheme.

Can you supply food, farming and packing businesses?

Yes. Tennial holds gangmaster's licence TENN0002, listed on the Fair Work Agency public register for agriculture, horticulture and food processing and packaging, and applies the same standards across the whole business. We are also ALP members, Stronger Together Business Partners and on Sedex.

Can you run a large agency team on site?

Yes. For large flexible workforces we offer on-site recruitment and management of your agency staff, working alongside your own managers and production teams.

Which areas do you cover?

We are based in Ipswich town centre and recruit across Suffolk and North Essex. Current vacancies run from Felixstowe and Harwich to Bury St Edmunds, Halesworth and Colchester.
