The problem

You can’t fix what you can’t see.

Most growing businesses don’t have an effort problem. They have a visibility problem. If any of these sound familiar, you’re in exactly the right place.

  1. You’re the MD, the head of sales and the bottleneck.

Geek fixA part-time Sales Director takes the pipeline off your desk, so you can run the business.

  2. Your forecast is a gut feeling with a spreadsheet attached.

Geek fixA stage-by-stage pipeline with honest numbers, so next quarter stops being a surprise.

  3. Your new salesperson interviewed brilliantly. Then sold nothing.

Geek fixHire against a real profile, onboard properly and coach to a standard from week one.

  4. Deals go quiet, and nobody can say why.

Geek fixWin and loss reasons tracked on every deal, so you can see exactly where they leak.

  5. You’ve done sales training before. It lasted until Tuesday.

Geek fixTraining on your live deals, month after month, until the new habits stick.

  6. You need a Sales Director. You can’t justify a full-time one.

Geek fixGet one for one to three days a month, at a flat rate, with zero on-costs.

None of these are personality flaws. They’re process problems, and process is our favourite thing.

What we do

Four ways to put a Geek to work.

Pick one, or mix and match as you grow. Every Geek is an experienced sales leader, not a generalist consultant, and every service is built around your business.

For founders & MDs

Your Sales Director

Senior sales leadership, one to three days a month.

An experienced Sales Director joins your management team at a flat rate. They take ownership of your sales team, pipeline and P&L line, and they answer to your numbers.

  • Strategy, process and pipeline built for the next three to five years
  • Zero on-costs: no PAYE, pension, company car or healthcare
  • Backed by a network with 1,800+ years of sales experience

For sales teams

Your Sales Trainer

Training on your live deals, not role-play.

ISP-endorsed training that starts with a skills-gap analysis and fits around your business: in-house, remote or hybrid. Every hour earns CPD points.

  • Skills-gap analysis and training audit first
  • Individual and team learning plans you’ll actually use
  • Plans its own exit, leaving a stronger team behind

For emerging leaders

Your Sales Mentor

One-to-one mentoring for your next generation of leaders.

A senior Geek mentor builds confidence, adaptability and strategic thinking in the people who’ll run your sales team next, with a structure that measures progress.

  • Personal profile analysis
  • A custom development plan and balanced scorecard
  • Regular one-to-one mentoring with a senior sales leader

For always-on learning

Sales Geek Academy

World-class sales training in your pocket.

Short videos, 60–90 minute courses, live learning and team dashboards on desktop and mobile. ISP-endorsed, gamified, and from £20 per user per month.

  • Hundreds of bite-size Sales Insight videos
  • Geek Points, dashboards and progress tracking
  • White-label it as your own in-house academy

Your Sales Director

All of the Sales Director. None of the overheads.

Most businesses work with us one to three days a month. That’s usually all it takes to build a sales engine, coach a team and get a forecast you can bank on.

  2. Look back to look forward

Our diagnostic tools get under the skin of your pipeline, people, process and numbers, and set an honest baseline.

  3. Build the engine

Strategy, sales process, pipeline stages, forecasting and hiring plans, built for the next three to five years, not just next quarter.

How Herts Design & Creative Services all but stopped losing deals.

Martin Barrett joined Ray Wheeler’s Sales Supercharger course in 2025 and realised he’d picked up bad sales habits without noticing. Since then, they’ve met twice a month to review targets, forecasts, key accounts and every won and lost deal, and why. Forecasting moved from instinct to evidence.

“I’ve become so immersed in the detail that I finally understand why they’re called Sales Geek!”

The sales eye test

How clearly can you see your sales?

Six questions. An honest score. A clear next step. No email needed to see your results.

Question 1 of 6

Who leads sales in your business today?
How confident are you in next quarter’s forecast?
Do you know your win rate, and why you lose?
Is your sales process written down and followed?
When did your team last have sales training that stuck?
How much of your week goes on chasing deal updates?

Training

Training that sticks. And counts.

Every hour of Geek training is endorsed by the Institute of Sales Professionals, so your team earn CPD points on their way to ISP accreditation, with the post-nominals to match.

“Who knew sales training could be this fun and enlightening?”

Don, The Property Don

Historically, I’ve thought of sales training along the lines of ‘sell me this pen’! So the thought of undertaking 10 sessions filled me with dread. I could not have been more wrong!

The Geeks are a complete delight to work with and seem to have forgotten more about sales and marketing than I’ll ever know!

Why we exist

Sales has a reputation problem. We’re the fix.

Pushy. Slippery. “Sell me this pen.” Somewhere along the way, sales got a bad name, and we think that’s daft. Done properly, selling is the most helpful thing a business does: understanding a problem, then solving it.

Richard Few started Sales Geek from his back bedroom in Lancashire in 2017, with one outsized mission: to change the way the world perceives sales. Eighty-odd Geeks later, the mission hasn’t changed. There are just a lot more of us on it, and every one of us believes small businesses deserve the same sales talent as the big ones.

  • Geeks care.

Being a Geek means belonging to a tribe. We look out for each other, and that carries straight through to our clients.

  • Geeks always learn.

A Geek is never comfortable. We’re genuinely excited to learn new things and adapt in a changing world.

  • Geeks get it done.

Procrastination is the thief of time. We commit to something, then we do it.

  • Geeks make it fun.

If we aren’t having fun, why bother? We bring that energy to every client and every room.

  • Geeks are brave.

We speak up for what’s right rather than what’s easy, and we make the tough calls.

  • Geeks change the world.

One small business at a time, we’re changing the way the world perceives sales.

FAQs

Got questions?
Geeks love them.

If yours isn’t here, ask us directly. You’ll get a straight answer from someone who’s done the job.

Ask a Geek
How much does a part-time Sales Director cost?

Your Sales Director works for a flat rate, set by the number of days you need. Most businesses work with us one to three days a month. There are no on-costs: no PAYE, pension, company car or healthcare. Your local Geek will give you a clear quote after a first conversation.

How is a Geek different from a sales consultant?

Consultants advise from the outside. Geeks work inside your business: we take ownership of your sales team, pipeline and P&L line, and we’re accountable to your numbers. As one of our favourite quotes puts it, a consultant is someone who saves his client almost enough to pay his fee.

Who are the Geeks?

Experienced sales leaders. On average, a Geek has 20 years in sales and 12 in leadership, and between them the network has more than 1,800 years of sales experience, from blue-chip corporates to small businesses.

Is your training accredited?

Yes. All Sales Geek training is endorsed by the Institute of Sales Professionals. Your team earn CPD points for every hour, working towards ISP accreditation and membership.

How long will we work together?

As long as it’s useful. Your Sales Director works like a direct hire for as long as you need, then plans a clean exit that leaves your team stronger and your processes in place.

Do you work in my sector?

Almost certainly. Geeks have led sales across a huge range of sectors, from software and professional services to manufacturing, retail and e-commerce. We even have a dedicated Amazon Geek.

Do you use AI?

Yes, carefully and usefully. Sales Geek was a case study in Enterprise Nation’s 2026 report on digital and AI adoption among UK small businesses, produced with Google, Sage, Dell Technologies and Square.

Where are you based?

Geek HQ is in Blackburn, Lancashire, with Geeks across the UK and in the USA, India, Malaysia, the GCC and Mongolia.
