Who will my insurance be with?

Can I pay monthly?

Yes. We offer flexible monthly payments so you can spread the cost of your cover.

What’s the difference between public hire and private hire insurance?

Public hire insurance is for taxis that can be hailed in the street or picked up at a rank, like black cabs and Hackney carriages. Private hire insurance is for pre-booked work only, including minicabs and app-based drivers.

Do you insure Uber and PCO drivers?

Yes. App-based drivers are licensed as private hire, so they need private hire insurance. PCO insurance is simply the name used for taxi and private hire insurance in London.

How do I make a claim?

Call our 24/7 claims helpline on 0345 241 1221, or report it in the Patons app. Report any claim as soon as you can, because late reporting can increase your excess on some policies.

How long is my quote valid for?
