Can air conditioning really heat my home as well as cool it?
Yes. Modern air conditioning systems are reverse-cycle air-to-air heat pumps, so the same unit that cools you in summer heats efficiently in winter. Because they move heat rather than generate it, they can deliver up to 4kW of heat for every 1kW of electricity, which makes them far more efficient than electric heaters.
How much does air conditioning cost?
Every space is different, so we don't believe in one-size-fits-all pricing. Cost depends on the number of rooms, the type of unit and how the pipework needs to run. After a free survey we'll give you a clear, itemised quote, with no obligation to go ahead.
Will it be noisy, or spoil the look of my room?
Not at all. Today's indoor units are remarkably quiet (some run at as little as 19dB, quieter than a whisper) and come in sleek wall, floor and ceiling styles. Because we fabricate our own covers and trunking, pipework is finished neatly to measure.
Can I visit your showroom?
Yes. Once we've completed your free survey, you're welcome to book a visit to our Ferndown showroom, where you can see and hear working systems side by side before you decide.
Do I need planning permission?
Most domestic installations don't, but the rules can differ for listed buildings, conservation areas and flats. We'll check during your survey and guide you through anything that's needed.
How long does installation take?
A typical single-room system is usually fitted in a day. Larger homes and commercial projects are planned in detail, and we'll agree a clear timetable with you before any work starts.
How often should air conditioning be serviced?
We recommend at least once a year, and more often for commercial or heavily used systems. Regular servicing keeps your system efficient, extends its life and helps keep your warranty valid. Many commercial systems also need regular F-Gas leak checks by law, and we'll keep your records up to date.
Which brands do you install?
We install and service systems from the world's leading manufacturers, including Daikin, Mitsubishi Electric, Samsung, Fujitsu, Toshiba, Panasonic, Hitachi and LG. Because we work across all the major brands, we'll simply recommend whichever is the best fit for your space and budget.
