Warranty posts, heat-branded on the end

When raw material costs rise, it’s tempting to save on treatment. If it has UC4 stamped on it, who’s going to notice? We don’t cut kiln times, cheapen the treatment solution or shorten treatment cycles.

  1. Packs of posts wheeled out of a large timber drying kiln
    Kiln dried first Redwood is dried to the right moisture content before it goes near the tank. Rush it and the wood case-hardens, and the preservative can’t get in.

    Rich and dark like creosote, without the mess or the smell. Extend or repair a creosote fence line with barely a change in look.

If a warranted post fails through decay or insect attack within its term, we replace the failed timber, provided it was installed and used correctly. DURA² guarantees are registered by the installer at dura2.uk. Full terms on request.

Creosote fencing ends on 1 April 2027

From that date, creosote-treated timber can’t be placed on the GB market for general fencing or tree stakes (HSE decision 2026-002). Stock placed on the market since 1 October 2026 already carries extra storage and handling labels.

Stock arrives by ship at the Port of Wisbech

Ships come up the tidal River Nene to the quay, on average four a month, and the tide decides the day they unload. We’ve added warehouse space there year after year, so panels, gates and furniture stay out of the weather until they leave on your lorry.

Regular deliveries to merchants all over the UK. We book each one in with you before the lorry sets off.
Special orders
Before you turn down a non-stock size, call us. Our mills can cut sizes, profiles and treatments we don’t keep.
Full loads from the mill
Oak sleepers, Dastra garden products and firewood can come by container or lorry straight from the factory.
Glulam and fresh-cut oak
Glulam up to 24m long and 270 × 270mm from 5 cubic metres, and QP1 oak cut to your sizes.

Can I mix different products on one delivery?

Yes. Pick any five packs or more from the whole range. We arrange the delivery and book it in with you before it arrives.

Is delivery included in your prices?

Yes. Unless you’ve arranged to collect, our prices include delivery, and we confirm every sale by email.

Do you do brown treated timber?

Yes. Some customers take regular deliveries treated brown with Tanatone instead of green, including our Pro-Post range.

What should my customers know about posts in the ground?

Anything set in the ground needs Use Class 4 treatment; “green” or “brown” on its own isn’t a specification. A cut end should never go in the ground (Timber Development UK guidance). Every Ellpro warranty post is treated to UC4 and branded so you can see it.
