Person to Person

The Haulier You Don't Have to Chase.

Containers run to tight windows: vessel cut-offs, port slots, delivery bookings and free time ticking down. So everything at CP is built around two things. You always know where your box is, and you can always reach the person moving it.

  • A Person, Not a Ticket

Your loads are planned by people you can name and call. The traffic office runs 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, so a 3am question gets a 3am answer.

  • The Right Trailer, First Time

Skeletals, sliders, side-loaders and reefer-ready trailers, matched to the box and the site before we set off, so the job gets done right first time.

  • Proof Without the Chasing

Follow every load live online, with ETAs and alerts. Proof of delivery arrives the moment it's signed, as a scan or a signature, and stays on file for whenever you need it.

What We Move

Every Container. Every Kind of Delivery.

From a single 20ft to a steady programme of 40ft high cubes, we have the trailers and drivers to move it, and the people to plan it properly.

Side-Loader Deliveries

No forklift or crane on site? Our side-loaders lift the container off the trailer and set it on the ground, then lift it back on when you're done.

Refrigerated Containers

Heated, chilled or frozen. While they wait for a delivery slot, reefers stay plugged in at our main depot, powered by our own 67 solar panels.

Side-Loader Deliveries

No Forklift. No Crane. No Waiting Around.

Our side-loaders carry their own cranes. One driver steadies the trailer, lifts the container clear with a remote control and sets it down on the ground beside the truck, ready for you to load or unload in your own time.

  1. 01

    Steady

Stabiliser legs go down on the side where the container will land.

  2. 02

    Lift

Hydraulic cranes at each end of the trailer lift the box clear of the deck.

  3. 03

    Set Down

The container lands on firm, level ground beside the trailer, in around three minutes.

Questions

Straight Answers to Fair Questions.

The things forwarders, importers and site managers ask us most. Anything else, call 01394 674321, any time.

Which Ports Do You Collect From?

Felixstowe, Southampton, London Gateway, Tilbury, Liverpool, Bristol and Teesport, from our depots at Ipswich, near Felixstowe, and Southampton. If your container is somewhere else, ask us.

Do You Work Nights and Weekends?

Yes. Our traffic office runs 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. Call 01394 674321 whenever you need us.

Can You Deliver a Container to a Site Without a Forklift?

Yes. Our side-loaders lift the container off the trailer and set it on the ground, operated by one driver. They handle 20ft, 30ft and 40ft containers, or two 20ft at once. The ground needs to be firm and level, with room beside the trailer for the container.

Do You Move Refrigerated Containers?

Yes. We move heated, chilled and frozen reefers. At our main depot, reefers waiting for a delivery slot stay plugged in, on power from our own 67 solar panels.

How Do I Track My Container?

Customers get a login to our online traffic management system to follow deliveries in real time, with ETAs and alerts. Proof of delivery is there the moment it's signed, and past PODs can be downloaded at any time.

Do You Go to Ireland and Europe?

Yes. As well as the whole of the UK, we collect and deliver in Ireland, the EU and the rest of Europe, to and from the UK.

What Do You Need From Me for a Quote?

The collection port, container size and type, approximate weight, delivery postcode and when it's ready. If you have the container number and release or PIN, even better.

What Licences Do You Hold?

CP Transportation Services Ltd holds two Standard International goods vehicle operator licences, covering our Ipswich and Southampton depots, which allow haulage in the UK and abroad. We were also awarded FORS Bronze for road safety and good transport operations.
