A smarter way to put tech on the floor
Rugged protection for the hardware you already trust.
Harsh environments usually force a bad choice: risk standard equipment and keep replacing it, or pay a premium for “industrial” hardware with older specs and proprietary parts. There’s a third option.
We were keen to use standard PC systems because of the ease and cost of upgrade over time but had to be sure of the whole package… they have provided an excellent product which integrates well into our system.
Industries
Engineered around your environment.
Every sector breaks technology in its own way. Here’s how Armagard keeps it running in yours.
Daily sanitation without daily downtime.
Production floors are hosed down with hot water and harsh chemicals every shift. Armagard’s stainless steel NEMA 4X and IP69K enclosures put PCs, KPI screens, touchscreens and label printers right on the line — and let your sanitation crew wash them down with everything else.

Technology that cleans like the room does.
Sterile and controlled areas need equipment that stands up to aggressive cleaning regimes. Smooth stainless enclosures protect PCs, touchscreens, tablets and printers in pharmaceutical production, laboratories and cleanrooms.

Armagard produced the first laboratory airtight enclosures.

Dust, debris, forklifts. Handled.
On busy shop floors and in distribution centers, dust and knocks kill unprotected PCs, monitors and printers. NEMA 4-rated steel enclosures keep data and labels flowing at every workstation — and lock equipment away from tampering.

- Printer enclosures for Zebra, SATO & Toshiba

“Being entirely dustproof, these enclosures have allowed us to equip 8 production locations, allowing the operators to access the data they need directly on the shop floor.”

Screens that sell in sun, rain and snow.
Drive-thru menu boards, forecourt pump toppers and outdoor totems have to stay bright, readable and secure around the clock. Armagard’s all-weather digital signage is built for exactly that — with sunlight-readable, high-bright options.

- Sunlight-readable displays
Drive-thru solutions trusted by brands including McDonald’s and KFC.

Keep visitors informed, wherever they are.
From theme parks to airports, outdoor TVs and Samsung OH totems have to look great and keep working through weather, crowds and the occasional knock.
“Armagard turned this project around in a short space of time and the finished result is fantastic! We’re really happy with the new screens and IP rated Samsung OH enclosure.”

Computing in Zone 2, without compromise.
Where flammable gases or vapors may be present, standard IT is off-limits. Armagard’s airtight ATEX Zone 2 certified enclosures let you run computers safely — from the company that supplied the first dedicated computer enclosures for explosive environments, certified in 1998.
ATEX Zone 2 certified — independently tested, not self-certified.

Proven, not promised
Hose it down. Freeze it. Bury it in dust. It keeps working.
Anyone can call a box “waterproof.” Armagard was the first enclosure maker to have its products independently tested by a third party instead of self-certifying them — and we’ve never gone back.
We looked at several enclosure manufacturers, but Armagard was the only one that tested its products against jet washing. This gave us the confidence to trust Armagard when other manufacturers could only give vague assurances that they couldn’t back up.

FAQ
Questions specifiers ask us.
Can’t see yours? Our specialists answer technical questions every day.
Can I use my own PC, monitor or printer inside an Armagard enclosure?
Yes — that’s the idea. Armagard enclosures are designed around standard commercial hardware, so you can specify the PCs, displays and printers your IT team already supports, then upgrade them later without replacing the enclosure. Tell us your models and we’ll confirm the fit. For label printers, our compatibility tool covers popular Zebra, SATO and Toshiba models.
What’s the difference between NEMA 4 and NEMA 4X?
Both are watertight and dust-tight, and protect against rain, splashing and hose-directed water. NEMA 4X adds corrosion resistance — essential where chemicals, salt or caustic cleaning agents are used, which is why our washdown enclosures are NEMA 4X-rated stainless steel.
Do I need an IP69K enclosure?
If your sanitation regime uses close-range, high-pressure, high-temperature water or steam, yes. The IP69K test sprays 176°F water at up to 1,450 psi from just 4–6 inches away, from several angles. For standard hose-downs, NEMA 4X or IP66 is often enough — we’ll help you choose.
How do you manage heat and cold inside a sealed enclosure?
Every design is engineered for its environment. Depending on the application, that can mean cooling or thermostatically controlled heating — our heated printer enclosures keep running at −22°F. Our plenum-chamber design helps keep seals jet-washable while holding internal temperatures stable.
Do your touchscreens work with gloves?
Yes. Our integrated touchscreen enclosures are designed for reliable use with gloved hands — essential on food lines, in cold stores and on busy shop floors.
Can you build a custom enclosure?
Absolutely. Bespoke engineering is a big part of what we do — from modifying a standard enclosure to designing something entirely new. For larger rollouts we can supply working prototypes so your team can test them on the floor first.
What guarantee and support do I get?
Every Armagard product comes with a guarantee and after-sales support. If anything arrives damaged or develops a fault, we’ll replace it immediately to minimize disruption to your operation.
Do you have a US team?
Yes. Our US sales team is based in Chicago, IL. Call +1-866-434-0807 (Mon–Fri, 9am–5pm) or email sales.us@armagard.com. Armagard enclosures are installed in more than 50 countries.
