Why Tudor Rose

Most Agencies Make Content. We Publish It.

Every quarter, our own magazines land on the desks of senior people in enterprise technology, passenger shipping and golf design. If an issue doesn’t earn its place, they stop reading. That test has shaped how we work for 28 years, and it’s the standard we bring to every client brief.

  1. We Know What Gets Read

We edit and publish our own titles, so we see what readers keep, quote and pass on. We plan your content around that, not around a word count.

  2. Journalists, Not Just Copywriters

Our in-house writers and editors interview your experts, customers and partners, find the real story and tell it in plain, intelligent English.

  3. Print and Digital, One Team

Editorial, design, print, distribution, digital editions and websites, run by one team that answers for all of it.

  4. Nothing Leaves Without Sign-Off

Every page is checked before it reaches you. Our production manager, Stuart Fairbrother, has given final sign-off on our work for more than 25 years.

Our Own Magazines

The Proof Is in Print.

Plenty of agencies say they understand publishing. We publish three industry magazines of our own, read by the people who run those industries.

  • Technology Record, issue 42, Autumn 2026 front cover

    Issue 42, Autumn 2026

    Technology Record

    Enterprise solutions from Microsoft partners

Published every quarter with the support and guidance of Microsoft, and handed out through Microsoft offices, briefing centres and industry events. Our first publication with Microsoft, Banking on Windows NT, came out in 1998.

About 250,000 readers across print and digital, and around 8,000 printed copies an issue.

  • Cruise & Ferry Review, Autumn/Winter 2026 front cover

    Autumn/Winter 2026

    Cruise & Ferry Review

The global guide to passenger shipping

Launched by Euromoney in 1992 and published by us since 2011, with Cruise & Ferry Interiors and Cruise & Ferry Itinerary Planning alongside it.

A monthly newsletter read by more than 13,500 subscribers.

  • Golf Course Architecture, issue 86, October 2026 front cover

    Issue 86, October 2026

    Golf Course Architecture

The global journal of golf design and development

The only magazine devoted entirely to golf course design, for more than 20 years. In 2023 the European Institute of Golf Course Architects gave it the Harry Colt Award, and the same team produces By Design for the American Society of Golf Course Architects.

3,500 printed copies an issue and more than 23,500 digital subscribers.

Want a Magazine Like These? Plan Yours

Plan Your Publication

Every Magazine Starts as a Flatplan.

Before a word is written, editors map every page on a flatplan. Try one: choose a format and a page count, pick what goes inside, then send it to us with your brief.

What Are You Making?

How Many Pages?

32 pages + cover

Why fours? Each sheet folds in half to make four pages, and the sheets are stapled through the spine.

What Goes Inside?

Your Flatplan

Customer Magazine, 32 pages plus cover, 8 sheets, saddle-stitched

  • Contents 1
  • Editor’s Letter 1
  • News 5
  • Interviews 8
  • Features 10
  • Case Studies 6
  • Last Word 1
  • Cover, 4 pages

Room for about 4 interviews, 5 features and 3 case studies, at a spread each.

How We Work

From Brief to Bookshelf.

One team from the first conversation to finished copies, with an editor’s eye on every stage.

  1. The Brief

Tell us who you want to reach, what you want them to do and when you need it. We’ll come back with a plan, a quote and a date.

  2. The Flatplan

We map every page, agree the stories and line up the people to interview.

  3. Interviews and Writing

Our journalists interview your experts, customers and partners, then write in your voice.

  4. Design and Layout

Our designers set every spread, source the photography and turn data into clear graphics.

  5. Proofs and Sign-Off

Editors check every word, and you approve every page before anything goes to print.

  6. Print, Digital and Delivery

We manage print, digital editions and distribution, so copies arrive where they’re needed.

Questions

Questions We’re Often Asked.

Straight answers before you get in touch. For anything else, call us or send a note.

Start a Project

How Long Does a Magazine or Book Take?

It depends on the pages, the interviews and how quickly approvals come back, so we agree a schedule at the brief and keep to it. When BBC Radio Leicester needed a charity recipe book in time for Children in Need, 2,000 copies were printed and bound 25 days after our first meeting.

What Does It Cost?

Every project is priced on its brief: the number of pages, the print run, the paper, the interviews, the photography and the distribution all play a part. Send us your ideas and we’ll come back with a quote and a date.

Do You Handle Printing and Distribution?

Yes. We manage print and delivery as part of the job and produce digital editions for readers who prefer a screen. This year we plan to distribute about 32,000 printed copies of Technology Record alone, through subscribers, Microsoft offices and industry events.

Can You Write About Technical Subjects?

It’s what we do every day: enterprise technology for Microsoft partners, passenger shipping, golf course design, banking and sustainable development. Our journalists interview the experts and turn complex subjects into clear stories.

Can We Advertise in Your Magazines?

Yes. Technology Record, Cruise & Ferry Review and Golf Course Architecture reach decision makers in their industries in print and online. Ask us for a media pack.

Do You Only Work in Print?

No. We write and design websites, newsletters, digital magazines, social content and search-friendly copy, often alongside a print edition, so one story works everywhere.

Do You Work With Clients Outside Leicester?

Most of our clients are outside Leicester and many are outside the UK, from Microsoft to the United Nations. We work by phone and video, and you’re always welcome to visit us on Friar Lane.

Can You Produce a Book for Our Anniversary?

Yes. We research, interview, write, design and print commemorative and corporate books, from a short anniversary volume to a full company history with contributors and forewords.
