The small print

No win no fee, in full.

It comes down to three promises. Here they are with the bits most firms leave in the small print, set just as big.

£0 if you lose

Promise 1

If you lose, you pay us nothing.

No upfront fees, and no bill from us if your claim doesn’t succeed.

The other side’s legal costs are covered by insurance we arrange at the start, called After the Event (ATE) insurance, or by a policy you already have, such as car or home insurance.

The honest bit

If your chances of winning drop sharply, or a client is dishonest or unreasonable, we can end the agreement and charge for the work already done. It’s very rare, and we’ll always explain why first.

25% at most, if you win

Promise 2

If you win, our fee is never more than 25%.

Most of our costs are paid by the other side. Our success fee comes out of your compensation, and the law caps it at 25% of the money for your injury and the losses you’ve had so far.

See what you’d keep

The honest bit

Money for future losses, like future care or lost earnings, can’t be touched by the success fee. If you need ATE insurance, we’ll tell you what it costs and how it’s paid before you sign anything.

30 minutes, free

Promise 3

If we don’t think you’ll win, we’ll tell you.

We don’t get paid unless you win, so we only take on claims we believe in.

Your first call is free and lasts up to 30 minutes. You’ll get a straight answer: yes, no, or what we’d need to find out first.

The honest bit

Some people we speak to don’t have a claim. We’d rather say so on day one than let you down in year two.

What you’d keep

Do the sums before you sign.

Move the sliders. This works out the most we could ever take, the way the law says it’s worked out.

Pain and suffering, plus money you’ve already lost or spent.

Future care, treatment or lost earnings. Leave at £0 if none.

Yours, at least £40,000 80% of £50,000

You keep, at least
£40,000
Our success fee, at most
£10,000

On £50,000 of compensation, the most we could take is £10,000. You keep at least £40,000.

An illustration, not a quote. Your agreement may set a lower success fee. It doesn’t include any ATE insurance premium, which we’d explain in writing before you sign.

Results

Real results, with the context.

Every case is different, so these figures don’t mean your claim is worth the same. They do show the kind of claims the team wins.

How it works

How a claim works, and how long.

  1. A free first call

Up to 30 minutes. Tell us what happened, and we’ll tell you honestly if you have a claim.

  2. Your agreement, in plain English

You see the success fee and any insurance in writing before you sign anything.

  3. Evidence and a medical report

We gather the evidence and arrange an independent medical examination for you.

  4. We deal with the insurer

We negotiate for a fair settlement and tell you if an offer is too low. Most claims settle without court.

  5. You’re paid

Simple claims can settle in about six months. Complex ones usually take one to two years.

You usually have three years to claim.

Check your deadline. Nothing you type here is sent anywhere.

Enter the date of the accident to see when three years runs out.

  • Under 18 at the time? The three years usually start on the 18th birthday.
  • An illness, or found out later? It runs from when you knew it was linked to someone’s negligence.
  • Lost mental capacity? Different rules apply.

Think you’ve left it too late? Call us anyway.

What does no win no fee actually mean?

If your claim doesn’t succeed, you don’t pay our fees. If it does, most of our costs are paid by the other side, and our success fee comes out of your compensation. It’s never more than 25%.

How much is the success fee?

It’s our fee for taking on the risk. For personal injury claims, the law caps it at 25% of your compensation for pain, suffering and the losses you’ve had so far. It can’t come out of money for future losses. We tell you the exact percentage in writing before you sign.

What happens if I lose?

You don’t pay our fees. The other side’s costs are covered by After the Event (ATE) insurance, which we encourage you to take out at the start, or by a policy you already have, such as car or home insurance.

Could I end up paying anything?

Two things to know. If you need ATE insurance, we’ll explain its cost and how it’s paid before you sign. And if your chances drop sharply, or a client is dishonest or unreasonable, we can end the agreement and charge for the work done. That’s very rare.

Is the first call really free?

Yes. Your first consultation is free and lasts up to 30 minutes. There’s nothing to sign and nothing to pay, and you decide what happens next.

How long will my claim take?

Simple claims can settle in around six months. Claims with more complex or several injuries usually take one to two years. We give you an estimate at the start and keep you updated.

Will I have to go to court?

Only a minority of claims go to court, usually when the other side denies it was their fault. If yours does, our team will be with you all the way.

How long do I have to make a claim?

Usually three years from the date of the accident. For children, the three years start on their 18th birthday. For illnesses, they start when you knew it was linked to someone’s negligence. If you’re close to the limit, call us anyway.

I already have a solicitor. Can I switch?

Usually, yes. If you’re unhappy with your solicitor, or your firm has closed (like PM Law Group in February 2026), we can look at taking your claim on.

How much does it cost to call 0330 314 1300?

Calls to 0330 numbers cost the same as calling a normal landline, and they’re usually included in your call minutes, on mobiles too.
