How do I find a safety data sheet?
Search the catalogue on this page and open the product: most have a safety data sheet you can download straight away. You can also use our SDS finder (opens in a new tab), or ask and we’ll email it to you.
Most unopened products, stored properly, have an unlimited shelf life, so we print a suggested retest date instead of an expiry date. If your industry prefers no retest date on the label, say so on your order and we’ll leave it off.
Which grade do I need?
Analytical Reagent for analysis to stringent specifications, Chemically Pure for routine and general laboratory work, Technical where no guaranteed specification is needed, and HPS super purity solvents for HPLC, UV and IR. If you buy another brand today, use the grade finder on this page, or call us.
Do you supply schools and colleges?
Yes. Small packs, Chemically Pure grades, indicators and stains suit school practicals, and there’s no minimum order. A few regulated chemicals need a declaration of end use before we can supply them.
Can you deliver hazardous chemicals?
Yes. UK mainland orders go by our own service, a 2 to 3 day carrier or our distributor. Many hazardous products can’t travel by courier. When a third party has to carry certain hazardous products we add £25, and we’ll tell you first.
Do you export?
Yes. Most export orders go by sea freight, with air freight for urgent items. We quote in sterling on a C&F basis, and work with export licences and letters of credit.
Can you find a chemical that isn’t in the catalogue?
Often, yes. Tell us the chemical, the grade and the quantity, and we’ll source it, including from the J.T. Baker, Panreac AppliChem and Carlo Erba ranges.
