Proofed before a single stitch.

Most embellishment is handled in-house, backed by suppliers for thread, print materials and consumables. If you are not sure how best to show your brand, talk to the team: they will suggest what works on each garment and price it before you commit.

  2. Get a price

    A member of the team replies, usually within 24 hours, with the cost of the design and of the embroidery on each garment.

  3. Approve the design

    We email the design for approval, or occasionally post it. Nothing is stitched until you have accepted it.

  4. Receive your order

    It travels by DHL, and we aim to deliver within 5 to 7 working days of payment. Embroidery can add a little time.

There may be a one-off charge for setting up your design, but not always. If there is, we keep it to a minimum and tell you before we begin. Personalised garments cannot be returned.

Britain’s trade mark No. 1, the Bass red triangle, was registered by a Burton upon Trent brewery on 1 January 1876. Pub Clothing Company grew out of a family history in the brewing industry, and Burton is still home.

We work closely with breweries and key brands to develop uniforms and accessories, and we supply pubs, bars and restaurants right across the UK.

How much does it cost to put our pub’s logo on polo shirts?

Embroidery is free on our polo sets of 12, 24 and 36, and twelve start at £89.50 + VAT. For any other garment, a member of the team prices the embroidery once they have seen your logo. There may be a one-off charge for setting up your design, but not always, and we tell you what it is before anything is stitched. All prices exclude VAT.

How long does an embroidered order take?

We aim to deliver within 5 to 7 working days of payment, and embroidery can add a little time. If you have a date to hit, say so in your quote request and we will tell you what is realistic. Orders go by DHL to anywhere on the UK mainland. For delivery overseas or outside the mainland, ask us for live rates.

Is delivery free?

Delivery by DHL is free on orders over £90 before VAT, anywhere on the UK mainland, and your basket shows when you have reached it. Goods are delivered only to the address saved in your account, so add each site before you order. If you need a different address afterwards, tell us as soon as you can. We cannot promise a change, but we may be able to make one. See Delivery & Returns for the full detail.

Is there a minimum order?

No order is too large or too small, whether it is a handful of shirts for one bar or uniforms for a whole group of pubs. The polo sets start at six shirts, and for anything else we quote against what you actually need. If you are ordering for several sites, ask about a private shop using the form on this page.

Which colours do the polo shirts come in?

The polo is the Pro RTX polo shirt: 50% polyester, 50% cotton at 220gsm, with a ribbed collar, taped neck, three self-colour buttons, twin-needle stitching and a 60°C wash. It comes in 19 colours, including black, navy, bottle green, burgundy, red, royal blue, white and yellow. Each product page has a size guide, and the shop window at the top of this page shows your name on eight of them.

Can I set up an account for several pubs?

Yes. We build a private, password-protected shop that carries your logo and the garments you have chosen. Each site can have its own delivery address, every order is kept on record, and you can pay by invoice or credit card. Ask for one using the form on this page and we will talk through what your sites need.

Can I return embroidered garments?

Personalised garments cannot be returned, so check your design carefully when we send it for approval. Standard garments can be returned within 14 days if they are unworn, in their original packaging and with labels. Return postage is at your cost unless we agree otherwise, and faulty goods should be reported within 3 working days of delivery.

Are your garments ethically made?

Our supply chain holds certificates of compliance including OEKO-TEX STANDARD 100 and WRAP (Worldwide Responsible Accredited Production), and we require every factory to follow our ethical trading statement. Most of our stock travels by sea, and our boxes are reused where possible. The eco range has 29 garments, including organic cotton T-shirts. Read the Modern Slavery & Ethical Trading Statement.
