Proven in the Ground

Proven on Projects That Have to Last

Once a loop, a screen or a drain is in the ground, it has to work for decades. These are some of the jobs where it is MGS doing that work.

Questions

Common Questions

The things buyers, drillers and engineers ask us most. Anything else, just call.

Need an Answer Today?

Our sales team is in the office Monday to Friday, 8:30am to 5:30pm.

01359 271167
Can I collect from your depots?

Yes. Key products are kept in stock for prompt despatch or collection from Bury St Edmunds (Monday to Friday, 8:30am to 5:30pm) and Coventry (Monday to Friday, 7am to 5pm). Call ahead so we can check stock and get your order ready.

Can you make pipe or fabrications to my specification?

Often, yes. We slot, perforate and thread thermoplastic pipe from 12 to 710 mm, extrude HDPE pipe in-house, and fabricate in plastic and steel. Send your drawing or specification with your enquiry and our engineers will take a look.

Do Thermo-Loops® come with test certificates?

Every Thermo-Loop® carries its own serial number and is individually pressure tested, and we can provide a pressure test certificate for each loop. They are made from PE100-RC in 25, 32, 40, 45 and 50 mm, as single or double loops, to any length to the nearest metre, with a five year warranty.

Is TerraDrain™ approved for Network Rail and London Underground?

Yes. Demco’s TerraDrain™ and TerraLine™ have held a Network Rail Certificate of Acceptance (PA05/02084) since 2005, and the TerraRange has London Underground approval. Both comply with Network Rail’s Design for Reliability and London Underground’s M 3360 A2 drainage specifications.

Do you supply outside the UK?

Yes. MGS Europe GmbH in Erkelenz, Germany supplies drilling and geothermal products, and our ISO 9001:2015 certification covers the manufacture and supply of geotechnical and geo-environmental products worldwide. Tell us where the job is.

Where do I find data sheets and safety data sheets?

Each product page on mgs.co.uk carries its downloads, including safety data sheets for our grouts, bentonites and filter media. If you can’t find the one you need, ask and we will send it.

Can you help me choose the right product?

That is what we are here for. Our team has extensive hands-on experience across drilling, geothermal, groundwater, landfill and rail, and our engineers can support you from concept to completion with product selection, specification, costing and delivery.
