Commercial cleaning for every building on the street
Choose your building to see what we clean. Every contract starts with a walk round your site, and what we agree becomes the written specification your team works to.
Office cleaning
Desks, meeting rooms, kitchens, washrooms and the communal areas in between, cleaned before your team arrives or after they’ve gone home. Daily visits or the days you choose, with deeper work on a schedule when the carpets and high-level dust need it.
What we clean
- Desks, phones and door handles
- Kitchens and breakout areas
- Washrooms, cleaned and restocked
- Carpets vacuumed, hard floors mopped
Retail cleaning
Shop floors, displays, fitting rooms and stockrooms kept customer-ready, from a single store to a busy retail destination. We work around your opening hours, so the first customer of the day walks into a clean shop.
What we clean
- Shop floors and entrances
- Displays, glass and mirrors
- Fitting rooms and customer toilets
- Stockrooms and staff areas
Hospitality cleaning
Restaurants, bars, clubs and event venues, cleaned between services so the front of house is ready for guests and the back of house stays hygienic. Nik spent 20 years running pubs, clubs and restaurants before he started in cleaning, so we know what the morning after a busy night looks like.
What we clean
- Bars, dining rooms and dance floors
- Customer and staff toilets
- Back-of-house corridors and stores
- Clean-ups after events
Industrial cleaning
Warehouses, factories, workshops and production areas, where the dirt is dust, oil and debris. Scrubber driers for the big floors and the right products for the rest, as routine maintenance or a one-off deep clean.
What we clean
- Warehouse and factory floors
- Workshops and production areas
- Offices, canteens and welfare areas
- Hard-to-reach areas
After-builders cleaning
Builders’ dust, debris and the fine dust that keeps settling for days, cleared from floors, windows, fixtures and fittings. We get finished buildings ready for handover, opening day or moving in.
What we clean
- Dust and debris, top to bottom
- Windows, frames and sills
- Fixtures, fittings and sanitaryware
- Floors, ready for handover
Deep cleaning and periodicals
The work a daily clean doesn’t reach: high-traffic floors, high-level dust and the grime that builds up in kitchens and washrooms. Book a one-off top-to-bottom clean, or schedule periodic deep cleans alongside your regular contract, in any of these buildings.
What we clean
- One-off, top-to-bottom cleans
- Carpets and hard floors, deep cleaned
- High-level and hard-to-reach dusting
- Kitchens and washrooms, deep cleaned
Reliability, in our clients’ words
Not once in 5 years have they missed a clean with even the director pitching up early one morning to get it done when normal cleaner was ill.

How switching to Lion works
Here is what happens when you move your cleaning to us.
-
We walk round your site with you
Call or send the form and we’ll arrange a free site survey. We look at every area, surface and access point, and ask what isn’t working with your current cleaning.
-
You get a written specification and a price
It sets out what gets cleaned, how often and when. Change anything you like before you agree it, because your price is built from it.
-
Your team starts, and we keep in touch
Trained, insured cleaners start on the agreed day, using plant-based products. We check the work against your specification and check in with you regularly, so small problems get fixed before you have to raise them.
-
If anything is missed, we put it right
That’s our guarantee. If you’re ever not fully satisfied with a clean, tell us and we’ll put it right without hesitation.

Products: plant-based and biodegradableAgreed by Lion and you
It doesn’t cost the earth to go green.
That line has been our promise for years, and it’s why clients across Hampshire know us as The Greener Cleaner. Plant-based products are our standard on every clean, at no extra cost.
| What we use | Why it’s greener |
|---|---|
| Jangro NTRL cleaning products | Made from plant-based extracts, 100% biodegradable and free of petrochemicals. The range is registered with The Vegan Society and comes in recycled plastic packaging. |
| Probiotic cleaners | Good bacteria that keep breaking down dirt and odours after the clean is finished: a non-toxic choice in place of harsh chemical disinfectants. |
| NTRL Paper with Purpose | Recycled toilet rolls and hand towels, made without bleach or dyes and delivered in plastic-free packaging. |
| Robert Scott Ecofibre cloths | 55% of every cloth is made from two recycled plastic bottles, and they clean well with just water. Colour-coded, so washroom cloths never reach the kitchen. |

A family firm that answers its own phone
Nik Shore spent 20 years owning and running pubs, clubs and restaurants from London to Bournemouth before he moved into contract cleaning. He started Shoreclean, which became Lion Commercial Cleaning in 2007, and he still runs the company today.
His son Max grew up around the business, driving a sit-on scrubber while other children were learning to ride bikes, and later ran high-end venues before joining full-time. Today Max runs operations, and clients tell us he is always a phone call away.
Personal Responsibility In Delivering Excellence. A group of lions is a pride, and that’s what we call our team. It’s also how we work.

Cover when your cleaner is off
If a regular cleaner is ill or on holiday, we cover the shift. One client’s replacement cleaner started the next day; for another, our director did the early clean himself.
-
4x4s for whatever the weather
Our 4x4 vehicles reach rural sites, industrial estates and building sites through rain, snow and mud, so the roads don’t cancel your clean.
-
Trained, insured and checked
Every cleaner is trained and insured, with a manager behind them and the work checked against your specification under our quality management system.
And the name? Nik loves lions. He has adopted seven of them: two at the Isle of Wight Zoo and five at The Big Cat Sanctuary in Kent, where he hand-fed Manzes, the first.

How much does commercial cleaning cost?
It depends on the size of the building, how often it’s cleaned, when we clean and what the specification includes, so we price every contract from a free site survey. A small office cleaned two evenings a week costs a fraction of a warehouse floor scrubbed every night.
After the survey you get a written specification and a price built from it, so you can see exactly what you’re paying for and change the scope before you agree anything.
What does commercial cleaning include?
In most offices it means emptying bins, wiping desks and touch points, cleaning and restocking washrooms, cleaning the kitchen, and vacuuming and mopping floors on every visit, with dusting, internal glass and deeper work on a weekly or monthly cycle.
Shops, venues, warehouses and new builds each need something different, so the specification we write after your site survey lists every task and how often it’s done. Periodic deep cleans, such as carpet and hard floor cleaning, can be added on a schedule.
Can you clean outside our working hours?
Yes. We can clean early in the morning or in the evening while your building is quiet, or during the day where that works better, such as washroom checks in a busy shop or venue.
We agree the times at the site survey and write them into your specification, so you always know when we’ll be in and your team arrives to a clean building.
What happens if our cleaner is off sick or on holiday?
We cover the shift, so the clean still happens. When an office in Eastleigh was let down for holiday cover, we had a cleaner there the next day.
One client of five years says we have never missed a clean, including the morning our director did it himself because the regular cleaner was ill. Arranging cover is our job, and you shouldn’t have to chase it.
Are your cleaners trained and insured?
Yes. Every member of our team is trained and insured, and supported by a manager who checks the work against your specification under our quality management system.
We use professional equipment and follow health and safety rules on every site, including your own site rules. If you need our insurance details for your records or for a tender, ask and we’ll send them.
Do you supply the cleaning products and equipment?
Yes. We bring the products, cloths and machines, from vacuums to scrubber driers for large floors. Our standard products are plant-based and biodegradable, from Jangro’s NTRL range, alongside probiotic cleaners and Robert Scott Ecofibre cloths made from recycled bottles.
We can also supply recycled toilet rolls and hand towels for your washrooms. It’s why clients call us The Greener Cleaner, and it doesn’t add to your price.
Which areas do you cover?
We’re based in Southampton and clean across Hampshire and the South, including Portsmouth, Winchester, Eastleigh, Fareham, Gosport, Havant, Basingstoke, Andover, Petersfield, Ringwood and Romsey.
Our 4x4 vehicles mean rural sites and industrial estates are covered in any weather. If your site isn’t on that list, send us the postcode with the form and we’ll tell you whether we can take it on.
Do you offer one-off cleans?
Yes. Alongside regular contracts we do one-off deep cleans, top-to-bottom periodic cleans and after-builders cleans for new and refurbished buildings.
Tell us the date the building needs to be ready, for a handover, an opening or a move-in, and we’ll plan the clean around it. If you then want a regular contract, the specification from the one-off is a good place to start.
