Royal Mail’s new micro vans charge from a three-pin plug.

In August 2026 Royal Mail added twenty Neomor D01 micro electric vans to its fleet for urban delivery rounds across the UK. Each carries up to 290 kg and charges from a standard three-pin plug, so delivery offices with tight yards or limited grid capacity need no new chargepoints.

We’re the D01’s exclusive UK distributor. We supplied Royal Mail’s vans, and we support them from Sussex with servicing, parts and fleet advice.

“These micro electric vehicles are perfectly suited to busy urban routes, helping our posties navigate towns and cities more efficiently while reducing emissions.”

Your chargepoint is already on the wall.

Our micro range charges from an ordinary 13-amp socket: the HAULeR cargo bike, the Duo mopeds, the i-Cargo and the Neomor D01 van. No chargepoint, no groundworks, no grid upgrade.

What it costs to charge, by type of charger
Workplace AC chargepointabout £1,500 to £10,000 a point
DC rapid charger£15,000 to £30,000 each, before any grid upgrade

Plug in at the end of the shift and it’s full by morning. The bikes, mopeds and i-Cargo also take removable batteries: swap a flat pack for a charged one in under two minutes and keep going.

Need more payload? The Foton Cavan C1 van charges from 20 to 80% in 35 minutes on a DC charger, the eMiler and eAumark trucks from 20 to 100% in about an hour, and we’ll help you plan the chargers.

Charger prices are UK industry guide prices for 2026, from our June 2026 article.

Eleven electric commercial vehicles, smallest first.

From a 44 kg cargo bike to a 7.5-tonne truck, so the vehicle fits the work instead of the work fitting a van. Every figure is the published one for that vehicle; ask us for numbers on your own routes.

“If it’s too big a job for a cargo bike and too small for a Transit, the i-Cargo sits right in that space.”

South Coast Bikes' yellow and red micro electric van on charge in their Brighton workshop

South Coast Bikes, Brighton

For twenty years South Coast Bikes has collected customers’ bikes from their doors, serviced them and brought them back. Two ageing petrol vans did the rounds. Now a micro electric van covers Saltdean to Shoreham, up to 50 miles on a busy day, and charges in the workshop.

“It costs virtually nothing to run, it’s great fun to drive, and the impression it makes on customers is a big plus point.”

Paul Topham, Director, South Coast Bikes

RSPB, Sherwood Forest and Sandy

A diesel van doing short runs around Sherwood Forest kept blocking its injectors and filters. The RSPB replaced it with a two-seat micro electric van we fitted with a tipper bed and cage, and runs a Neomor D01 for the site gardener at its headquarters in Sandy.

“For these two sites, micro electric vehicles are perfect.”

The Argus road test

The Argus’s editor, Arron Hendy, rode our HAULeR cargo bike along the A259 and up the climbs out of Rottingdean and Saltdean.

“It feels like cheating.”

Questions fleet managers ask us.

Which licence do my drivers need?

None for the HAULeR cargo bike: it is an electrically assisted pedal cycle, open to riders aged 14 and over. A CBT certificate for the Duo moped, and a full A1 licence for the faster Duo+. A full car licence for the Neomor D01, the Nipper, the Solar Car, the Cavan C1, the OHM 35 and the 4.25-tonne eMiler, and for the i-Cargo if the driver is 21 or over. A C1 licence for the 7.5-tonne eAumark.

Do we need to install chargepoints?

Not for the micro range. The HAULeR, the Duo mopeds, the i-Cargo and the Neomor D01 charge from an ordinary 13-amp socket, and the bikes, mopeds and i-Cargo take removable batteries you can swap. The Foton vans and trucks charge on AC or DC chargers; we will help you plan what your site needs.

Can we try a vehicle before we buy?

Yes. Book a test drive at our base in Lower Dicker or at your premises; Foton Cavan C1 demonstrators are available now. For a closer look we arrange extended on-site demonstrations on your real routes, and multi-vehicle trials before a fleet roll-out.

Who services the vehicles?

We do. Scheduled servicing to manufacturer standards, on-site visits for fleet customers, fast diagnostics and repairs backed by parts for every model we import and supply, MOT management and help with L-category rules such as L5e and L7e.

Can you supply them in our livery?

Yes. We brand fleets in your livery and fit accessories such as racks, storage boxes, delivery pods, baskets and weather protection. We also train your drivers and riders.

Can we carry chilled or hot food?

Yes. The i-Cargo's cargo box takes a chiller or a warmer unit, the Neomor D01 can be built with refrigeration, the OHM 35 chassis takes a refrigerated body, and the Duo mopeds take insulated food boxes.

Can we lease rather than buy?

Yes. Ask us about purchase lease plans: we have arranged them through Close Brothers Motor Finance, so you can spread the cost and keep your capital.

Do you work outside Sussex?

Yes. We supply and support businesses across the UK. The 20 Neomor D01s we supplied to Royal Mail work delivery routes across the UK, and the RSPB runs our micro electric vans at Sherwood Forest and at its headquarters in Bedfordshire.
