Named after our founders’ mothers. Built to look after people.
Grant and McGregor were the maiden names of our founders’ mothers. David Lawrence and Jon Towers started the business in 2000 believing IT should be run the way you’d want your own family looked after: honestly, patiently and properly.
Twenty-five years on, from our home in the Merchants’ Hall on Hanover Street, that idea still shapes every call we answer.

How quickly do you respond when something goes wrong?
Most support requests are handled straight away by our Edinburgh service desk, open Monday to Friday, 08:00–18:00. Clients on our Enhanced Security Service also get 24/7 threat monitoring, detection and response across devices, email and cloud.
What is Cyber Essentials, and do we need it?
Cyber Essentials is the UK government-backed scheme that shows you have the core protections in place against the most common cyber attacks. It’s increasingly asked for by funders, insurers and public-sector contracts. As an accredited Certification Body, we can guide you through Cyber Essentials and Cyber Essentials Plus from start to certificate.
We already have someone who looks after IT. Can you work alongside them?
Yes. Many organisations have an office manager or internal IT lead. We shape our support around the people you already have, taking on as much or as little as you need, from security and monitoring to projects and escalations.
Do you only work with organisations in Edinburgh?
We’re based in Edinburgh’s Merchants’ Hall and provide onsite support across Edinburgh and Scotland, with remote support for organisations throughout the UK.
How hard is it to switch from our current IT provider?
Easier than most people expect. We plan the handover, work with your current provider to transfer access and documentation, and secure the essentials from day one, so there’s minimum disruption for your team.
