Veteran-founded coffee for workplaces, cafés and events

Great coffee, with a lifeline in every cup.

We roast specialty Brazilian coffee in Ipswich, run cafés on sites like yours and bring coffee vans to events. Every cup carries mental health helplines, and our profits fund support for the Armed Forces community and their families.

How it works

How a coffee break becomes a lifeline.

It’s all about the coffee. But then it’s not really about the coffee at all.

  1. You serve our coffee

Beans, ground or instant for your kitchen, or a café we run for you. It’s already poured at 64 locations.

  2. Every cup carries a lifeline

Our cups are printed with helplines such as Samaritans and Combat Stress. In 2025, 616,500 drinks went out in them.

  3. Profits fund our Outreach Team

They’re mental health trained, and many have lived experience of military life. Our outreach no longer depends on grants.

  4. People get support

Coffee mornings, breakfasts and one-to-one help. In 2025, 235 veterans were supported through our outreach.

Why the cup matters

Don’t sip in silence.

“The cup and business card sat on my kitchen counter for a few weeks. Then things really got bad…”

“…[He] saw the coffee cup still in the kitchen and within a few days he had reached out.”

“I am genuinely not sure my husband would still be here.”

The coffee

It has to be good coffee first.

Nobody keeps buying a coffee just for the cause, so we start with what’s in the cup.

  • Direct trade. Our core blend comes from a family-run farm in Brazil.
  • Specialty grade. Our coffee scores 83 points on the specialty cupping scale.
  • Roasted in Ipswich by our team and volunteers, up to 2.5 tonnes a week.
  • Rested for 48 hours, then packed and labelled by hand.
Buy a bag for home, from £7.99 (opens in a new tab)
  • St George’s

Our core blend. Smooth, with red plum, almond and dark chocolate. Named after St George’s House at HMP Hollesley Bay, where our first beans were roasted.

  • Spill the Beans

The same coffee under a different name, made to get people talking wherever it’s poured.

  • Your own blend

Like Fusion for Sizewell C, The King’s Colour with British Airways and Butch’s Brew for Ipswich Town.

Our coffee is already served at 64 locations across the UK. Here are some of them.

FAQs

Good questions, straight answers.

Anything else? Call 01473 956262 or email hello@combat2coffee.co.uk.

Is Combat2Coffee a charity?

No. We’re a Community Interest Company, a business that trades for social purpose. Our profits go into outreach and support for the Armed Forces community and their families.

Do you supply businesses outside Suffolk?

Yes. We already supply sites across Suffolk, Essex, London, Surrey, Kent, Hampshire, Wiltshire, Bristol, Birmingham, Staffordshire, Leicestershire, Manchester, Yorkshire and Glasgow.

Can we have our own blend, or our logo on the label?

Yes. Every product label can carry your company logo, and we create bespoke blends, such as Fusion for Sizewell C and The King’s Colour with British Airways.

Can you work on a secure or defence site?

Yes. We work with facilities partners such as ESS, Sodexo and Vercity to bring Combat2Coffee to defence sites, including the Ministry of Defence in Whitehall, Northwood Headquarters, Larkhill Garrison and Andover.

How does event hire work?

Choose pre-paid, where you cover the drinks so they’re free for your guests, or pay at event, where guests buy their own. Tell us the date, the place and roughly how many people, and we’ll come back to you.

What do the helplines on the cups do?

Each cup is printed with numbers for mental health services such as Samaritans and Combat Stress. People can take the cup with them and reach out when the time feels right. In 2025 we served 616,500 drinks in these cups.

Can you help with our social value reporting?

We publish an Impact Report that sets out the outreach, training and employment our work supports. Ask us for a copy, or read the 2025 report online.

Do you offer instant coffee and sachets?

Yes. Alongside beans and ground coffee, we supply granulated and freeze-dried instant coffee in tins, plus sachets.
