Keep time on site
Hot, fresh food on the doorstep means fewer off-site food runs, fewer late returns from breaks and less time lost on the road.
Workforce catering for construction & infrastructure
Bon Appetit designs, installs and runs on-site restaurants for the UK’s most demanding projects. Fresh food cooked from scratch every day, a welfare offer your workforce will rave about, and a family business that takes the whole operation off your plate.
Cooked from scratch on site
Feeding the workforce for
Why it matters
Food is the one part of welfare that everyone on your project uses, every single day. Get it right and it quietly lifts everything else, from morale and retention to the numbers in your social value report.
Hot, fresh food on the doorstep means fewer off-site food runs, fewer late returns from breaks and less time lost on the road.
Skilled people choose sites with good welfare. A canteen they rave about gives them one more reason to stay on your job.
Local suppliers, local jobs, wellbeing campaigns and charity partnerships that show up in your reporting, not just on our menu board.
What we do
One partner for the lot. We design it, build it, staff it and run it, so your team can get on with the job.
Design & installation
From compact welfare cabins to full-scale site restaurants. We plan the kitchen, servery and seating around your layout, then supply, install and sign it all off.
Coffee & drinks
Barista coffee and a decent cuppa, all day. We pour around 250,000 litres of tea and coffee a year.
Hospitality
Breakfasts, buffets and lunch packages for site offices, client visits and board meetings, ordered online in a few clicks.
Events & engagement
Topping-out BBQs, safety stand-downs, cultural food days and brand activations that bring everyone together.
Not sure what your site needs? We’ll walk it with you and put together a plan.
How it works
We’ve opened kitchens in city-centre towers and on remote infrastructure compounds. Wherever your site is, the route to great food looks like this.
We visit, meet your welfare and logistics leads, and get to grips with headcount, shift patterns, access and space.
You get a clear proposal covering menus, layout, equipment, staffing, the commercial model and a mobilisation timeline.
We design, supply and install the kitchen, recruit and train the team, and open the doors on the date we agreed.
Fresh food every day, regular audits and workforce feedback, with a director on the end of the phone whenever you need one.
Speak to a director, not a call centre.
Don’t take our word for it
So many of the guys say ‘never had this kind of food on site, it’s amazing’ … Nothing is too much trouble and there is always a smile waiting for you.
It’s not often we are privy to such a high standard of site canteen … Your prices are set at a reasonable level and, along with the clean and well-maintained facilities, Bon Appetit have earned mine and my colleagues’ custom.
One of the points noted was that the canteen facilities on site were excellent and that your guys on site give excellent service.
Having had several meals over the past few months on site, I would like to congratulate you on the service and fine food.
More than a meal
Construction is tough on body and mind. So our calendar is packed with moments that bring people together, start conversations and say thank you: social value that shows up in your reports and on people’s faces.
Partnership
We’ve partnered with the mental health charity Mates in Mind, using the canteen to start the conversations that matter.
Culture
A Caribbean feast with a live steel band, Cape Malay curry for South Africa day, a proper British roast: a new flavour every month.
Thank-you moments
Served across 14 sites for Wimbledon, alongside free fruit for Mental Health Awareness Week and free hot drinks on World Day for Safety & Health.
Healthy eating
Chef-led campaigns that make the healthy choice the tasty one, with protein-packed specials through the toughest months.
Community
Easter treats, National Pie Week, Random Acts of Kindness Week: little surprises that keep spirits up on site.
Social value
Our story
Tony Manzi opened a single shopfront in 1969. By 1980 there were five restaurants and cafés across central London, and a year later our very first site-catering outlet.
Today Robert and Paolo lead a team of more than 150, feeding some of the biggest projects in the country. We’re still independent, still family and still obsessed with feeding people properly.
A genuinely independent family business: big enough to give you total peace of mind, small enough to truly care.
For brands
Our site restaurants are where the workforce eats, drinks and takes a breather. Put your brand at the heart of it, on one site or across the whole network.
Recent on-site activations include DeWalt, Capri-Sun, Mockingbird and Combat Coffee.
Careers
Chefs, catering assistants and unit managers: if you love feeding people properly, we’d love to hear from you. Proper training, a great team and the chance to cook on some of the UK’s biggest projects.
Good questions
Can’t see your question? Call us on 020 4517 9314 and you’ll speak to someone who can actually answer it.
From single-compound sites to multi-site infrastructure programmes. We scale the set-up, and the team, to your headcount, shift patterns and space.
Yes. We offer a full turnkey service: design, supply and installation of the kitchen and servery, followed by the day-to-day running of a safe, compliant catering service.
Nationwide. We’re headquartered in London with an office in Birmingham, and we’re cooking on live sites from Buckinghamshire to Teesside.
We consult with you before we open, then cater for vegetarian, vegan, paleo, allergen-free and coeliac diets every day, with full allergen information on every dish.
Every project is different, so we build the commercial model around your workforce, budget and welfare goals, and we’re completely transparent about how it works.
Absolutely. From site-office breakfasts and buffet lunches to topping-out BBQs and client hospitality. Existing customers can order hospitality online.
